We are the largest single provider of 2nd and 3rd year student accommodation in the UK, leading the way in offering exceptional student accommodation. Each academic year thousands of Student Cribs beds are let, offering students stylish contemporary properties with the most modern facilities, in the best locations in university cities and towns. With Student Cribs, students get the most of their accommodation, allowing them to make the most of their time at university.
Student Cribs was founded by Charlie Vaughan-Lee in 2003, after he became frustrated at local letting agents refusing to let quality accommodation to him and his friends due to being university students. During his first semester at Bristol, Charlie rounded up investors, purchased and renovated 3 properties which he then let to some very happy friends; Student Cribs was born. Now supported by a young and passionate team headquartered in London’s bustling West End, Charlie’s vision is channelled through student accommodation in 24 British university cities and towns, allowing domestic and international students to enjoy a better standard of living, whilst also experiencing the peace of mind that they are living somewhere secure. Student Cribs have been reinventing university living since the early noughties, and have ambitious plans to continue changing the face of UK student accommodation for the better.

Our 4th office is opened in Leicester, to support our tenants in Leicester and the surrounding Midlands. Student Cribs now have an office presence in London (HQ), Newcastle, Manchester and Leicester.
Student Cribs HQ moves to 33 Cavendish Square in the heart of the West End, fitted out to cater to the growing team.
Following the success of the Newcastle office, Student Cribs open a 3rd office in Manchester. The office is excellently located in Salford Quays, perfectly situated to serve the brands Manchester Fallowfield and Salford tenants.
Student Cribs launch in their 25th market: Leicester! Student Cribs’ Leicester properties are spread across 3 buildings, ranging from studios to large cluster flats. Refurbished in 2022, these properties are high-spec and designed for students.
Student Cribs complete on an excellent portfolio of 313 beds in some of our core markets: Nottingham, Exeter, Leeds and Manchester.
Student Cribs opens their first regional office in Newcastle to support the delivery of excellent customer service in the North East.

We move to our current headquarters in London’s bustling Soho, with over 30 professionals now working in HQ for the growing brand.
£200 Million in equity is secured, which the Student Cribs team invest in properties across 23 cities in the UK. There are now over 600 Cribs enjoyed by students across the UK, and Student Cribs becomes the leading provider of private student accommodation in the UK.
Our first properties developed for young professionals are purchased in London. Many Student Cribs tenants from around the UK choose Professional Cribs when moving to London after graduation.
