10 Cheap Eats in Coventry

We’re here to help avoid this devastating experience and to save your bank balance.! Here are our favourite places to eat in Coventrywhen that student loan is looking pretty measly.

1. Slug and Lettuce

You can’t go wrong with a fan favourite! Slug and Lettuce is a beloved establishment with a super all rounded menu that’ll please everyone in your crew. If lunch goes on until late, you should stick around for their fantastic happy hour deal!

2.The Pod Cafe

Fancy a quiet lunch with local grown ingredients and a cosy cafe atmosphere? Look no further than The Pod Cafe. With a largely vegan menu, this place is the best place to relax, grab a snack and read a book.

3. Rising Café – From the Rubble

The perfect place to fulfill your sweet treat desire, Rising Cafe will blow you away with their endless selection of cakes and scones. The service is excellent but get in there early or you might have to wait for a table as this place is always packed!

4. Chi Bar

Fancy chicken katsu but the Wagamama’s price list is causing you grief? Head over to Chi Bar, where you can find a generous bowl of katsu and rice for just £7!!! Top Tip: try the Chi fries, you can thank me later.

5. Millie’s Kitchen

For all your pizza and pasta cravings, there is only one place to go. Millie’s is a family friendly and budget friendly Italian favourite, it’s basically carb heaven. There is a vegan menu and gluten free options so no one feels left behind.

6. The Old Windmill

Is there anything better than a pub lunch on a Sunday? I think not. If you’re in the mood for classic British gastro pub food and potentially a pint to chase away your hangover, The Old Windmill can supply it all. In the winter, it’s the perfect place to get that cosy Christmas feeling.

7.The Phoenix

The Phoenix is more than just a bar, it’s a bar with excellent selection of sandwiches and what more do you really need! Aside from the sandwiches, this cheap eat place has so much more on the menu! On Wednesdays, pay 25p per chicken wing!!!

8. Falafel Corner

Come to Falafel Corner to try one of their delicious wraps or salads. Who doesn’t like halloumi?!?! And even better, reasonably priced halloumi! Accompany your wrap with an Arabic coffee or tea.

9. Gourmet Food Kitchen

This cheap eat kitchen provides high quality food at an affordable price. Everything is homemade and the coffee is always fresh.

10. Noodle Bar

Give yourself a break from the pot noodle and head to this hidden gem in central Coventry. The food is incredible, the service is fast and the Big Bowl Meal Deal is hard to ignore.You can choose your noodles and all your toppings to suit your mood. Send noods!!
