Cirencester definitely isn’t a place you hear a lot about, but there’s plenty to do there if you’re up for an adventure in between studies. Home of the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester may be small but it is definitely full of unique and fun activities for you and your mates to enjoy. So, gather everyone together and start making your way down the list!
Another popular pub amongst RAU students, this one is located a little further out and is favoured for its location as it means less chance of annoyed neighbours. Have a pint or two and relax with your mates.
Every year, RAU students union and RAG team organise RAG Week (Raise and Give) where students take part in various activities to raise money for charities of their choice. This yeah the event took place in February and the charities were The High Sheriffs’ Fund, The Farming Community Network and Mind. Activities include an auction, rugby match, quiz night, tractor pull, team sports, board games and plenty more.
This gorgeous park has been deemed as a true hidden gem by visitors on TripAdvisor, the gardens are Grade I listed while the country house is Grade II listed, making this place a worthwhile visit.
Open during the summer season, this open air pool is a great way to spend time with your friends and cool down during the hotter days.
This waffle house is pretty sweet (ha ha). With a wide range of waffles on the menu, also available in gluten free might I add, this place is bound to satisfy your cravings. There’s also a delicious choice of milkshakes available, so head down and give it a try!
Another popular student destination, the Kings Head is a pub, hotel and spa all rolled into one, how cool! With delicious food and a regular attraction, the Cellar Cinema Club where popular films are screened with unlimited popcorn. Surely you can’t resist that!
