Here’s a quick guide on where you should be spending your time and cash.

1- Soho bar

2- Digital

For those looking for a more relaxing setting, Bar Blanc is a gem nestled in the heart of the student area, Jesmond. But don’t get too comfy, things heat up as the night goes on and the bar will be rammed by 11pm. Prices are very reasonable so you won’t have to stress about funds.

5- The Cut

Bored of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus blaring until the early hours? Head to the Cut, a fan favourite for Hip Hop, RnB and songs that will throw you back to 2005. Inspired by ‘Berlin squat parties and Manhattan loft parties’, this quirky club deserves at least one visit.

6- Bijoux

Bijoux is the spot in town, vacated by Geordie shore cast members since season 1. If you ever saw Charlotte or Chloe humping the floor in VIP or swilling Gary, it was probably in Bijoux. Aside from its Tv fame, Tiger Tiger remains a beloved student hangout, £5 for 3 trebles will have Londoners picking their jaw up off the floor.

7- Tiger Tiger

Located in the centre of town, many drunken nights can wind up in Tiger Tiger. Although slightly spenny on a Saturday, this veteran club boasts a variety of music, reasonably priced drinks and the promise of a party everyday of the week.

8- Tup Tup Palace

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate, Tup Tup Palace should be at the top of your list. You won’t have to break the bank for a table and their private booths will have you feeling like royalty!!

9- Bierkellers

Every drunk girls dream: a club where dance on the tables is not just tolerated but encouraged! Head down to Bierkellers for a mix of chart toppers and german beats. Entry is cheaper than a student meal deal so you have no excuse to not grab a stein (or two) and party on the furniture.

10- Flares

Described as “an alcoholic heaven for Newcastle students”, Flares is a fan favourite amongst the weekly clubbers. Cheap drinks, a light up dance floor and free entry on student nights makes this club the perfect place to let loose and scream sing to cringey tunes.
